Cod, do you know what system they use? Is it Parentmail or have they set it up themselves directly? Our PTA wants to help our school organise this and we're not sure of the best road to go down.

I wouldn't actually want email to be the default. Emails can take ages to arrive or get lost in the ether. I'd rather have the letter. Some schools do both, you can have our secondary school newsletter via email but you still get the paper copy so of course you're not saving paper.

God I would love this .

I don't think I could ever get used to it if/when they introduce it here ...
I am so forgetful and terrified of forgetting important things that I would end up printing off notices anyway and putting them up in the kitchen - I need to have hard physical evidence of what I need to remember ...

Ooh, we've got a new headmaster started this term and this is one thing he wants to implement. I'm a bit off the old school too in that I like to see hard copies, but I'm willing to give it a try, I'm sre I'll get used to it.

I would love it if our school did that. I often dont get the newsletter, because for some reason they give it to the youngest child to bring home, & my scatty dd forgets to bring it or loses it.

I asked our head if they could just give letters to DS1 so I don't get triplicate but she said it was too complicated only a small school, I could do it for them.
