sports scholarships for prep schools around TW area

Evening,
Was hoping to get some advice...I've started to look around for a prep-school that would offer a sports scholarship (and great sports facilities/opportunities) in and around my area (Teddington), though am happy and prepared to travel a certain distance for the right school.

It's like a needle in a hay stack! I have list of schools that offer up sports scholarships, but haven't been able to find recent reviews for some/most of them and so don't know where to start!

I have left it late as it is as he is already in Year 3, but hey, you never know! Grin

What entrance point are you looking for? You have presumably missed 7+ as you say he is already in Y3 so are you looking for an in-year transfer or 11+ or 13+?

Yep, ideally I'd be hoping to get an in-year transfer. Obviously if that wasn't to happen, then at least I've done some ground work for the future Smile

Why would you think any school would have scholarship money lying around unused in the middle of the year? That would be no way to run a school!

In order to secure a scholarship you need to apply within their normal application windows. So you should be looking to see if any relevant schools are accepting scholarship applications for year 8 or later.

(Sorry not yr 8! 8+.)

Ground work for the future.... would make Hampton is an obvious choice at 11+.
Fantastic facilities and a fee reduction between 5-25%

Newland house award scholarships to boys for years 7 and 8 to encourage them to stay until 13. You don’t apply for them until year 6. Of you aren’t moving him until 11, then nearly all the local private schools - hampton, Reed’s, halliford, St james, Radnor offer scholarships but competition
Is fierce
