I'm in the day rather than evening, one morning, one afternoon. I'm doing Further Maths A level. This doesn't often get a good response from people 😂

I'd love to redo my failed German from school, but can't find a college that does it.

DH did BSL some years back and really enjoyed it. It was definitely hard though! He's in a job dealing with the public and it's been surprisingly useful over the years.

What are you going to do with your Further Maths? Is it for work?

Well it's mainly for fun (I know, I know!) but I would love to be a statistician. Initially this year I was offered a place to do a part time maths and statistics degree at uni based on the A level maths I already have. I retook that a couple of years ago because I'd failed it at school and I always wanted to achieve it.

There's currently government funding to do a second bachelors level degree (I have a teaching degree) but you have to be part time, and the loan is only for the tuition fees, no maintenance. I couldn't justify it financially at the moment as I'd have to take a huge drop in my working hours. So I thought I'd do the further maths to keep my hand in (as maths is incredibly forgettable!) and review the situation two years down the line.

I'm not finding it easy, and my confidence isn't helped by the fact that some of the 16 year olds in the class clearly think old=stupid.....

Hope your BSL is going well!
