Travel to Kendrick School from South Oxfordshire

I realise this is a bit of specialised question, but does anyone have a daughter who travels to Kendrick School in Reading from South Oxfordshire? We're in catchment, but I'm trying to work out what the journey would be like. Are there any school buses? Thanks

When I was in school, a friend from Woodcote got driven to Kendrick. Small village so no bus (a few years ago). Not sure where you are but do you have a local 'gossip girls' Facebook group?

My daughter got the train from Henley. Short walk from station to the school and lots of girls doing it. Busy roads on the walk but proper pedestrian crossings.

Thanks, that's helpful. We're in Wallingford so no train station. Was hoping that there might be a bus but that's not sounding like a possibility

There's the X39 and the X40, which I believe call at Wallingford. They drop off in the centre of Reading and as pp said - lots of girls walk from town centre to Kendrick. Also check with the school - they may know

Could she catch the train from Cholsey? I'd imagine the rush hour traffic would be very slow.

Hello OP, we’re in exactly the same boat as you. Did you go for it in the end or discount Kendrick due to the distance / difficult commute for your daughter?
