That is awfull.
Our scuool do not have a problem with it atall, infact the deputy heads dd has just left to go 2 secondary.

no i wouldn't do it
i think it is aprt of growing up and gaining independence. if you are there they don't get that. my 2 love coming out of school with tails of what they ahve been doing, many of these things are school based so if i was there i would already know IYKWIM
i did do it for a little while, dd went to nursery in the school i worked at, it was a brill nursery and logistically it was perfect. however dd didn't get invited to any parties all yaer, despite amny going on.

also i wouldn't like to taech in my local area, you'd see the kids all the time; but i think that it is important for children to go to their local schhol, from a social point of view. as long as the local school is good

No, because i think his school is better than mine!! I'd love a job at his school, so i have no problems with us being in the same school. I wouldn't want to be his teacher though!!

I don't think I would - too large ( 6 forms of entry plus a massive 6th form) and too far away. Also don[t particularly like the ethos which is rather laissez faire IMO.Lastly the Head is obsessed by results which does not bode well for the childrens' all round well being as far as I'm concerned.
