Movies that you'd recommend for a student midwifery?

Hello wonderful ladies (and men!) I will be starting university in September and studying midwifery. To enhance my knowledge of pregnancy and childbirth I want to watch movies/documentaries/programmes about those topics to increase my knowledge.

Does anyone have any recommendations or suggestions? So far I have watched "Call the Midwife" and "One born every minute". :)

Lots of useful clips on YouTube including some great virtual on breech and water birth.

BBC documentary Hospital will give you an insight into practising in the NHS in current climate.

OBEM gives a very unrealistic view of birth. Most midwives are very anti this programme.

Good luck.

Step away from TV documentaries and dramatisations.

Start looking at NICE guidelines. Read journals. Follow RCM / ARM / your university on social media.

If you are on Facebook, I'd recommend this group too. Lots of study days/information for aspiring/student midwives.
