You mean that children should work hard for 365 days a year?

Your children will be failing their sats then won't they ??!?!?!?!?

how sad to do that to 5 yr olds

juuule · 15/06/2007 14:45

you may have removed the location but I can think of several which fit the bill, sadly - including round my way!

It's a place inside the M25, you won't be surprised to hear!

There are so many fun summer schemes, with sport and art and just generally mucking about, I really hate the idea of this

Bloody hell !

I think this would be pretty popular in our area, which is also an 11+ area. My child is in Y5, and there isn't one child in her year who doesn't have a tutor.

DS1's old school runs this:
The xxxxx Summer School is an opportunity for girls and boys in Year 5 and Year 6 of primary or Prep schools to experience an enjoyable taster of secondary education in a fun atmosphere.
DS who went there in Y7 would have regarded a week at a summer school as a "cruel and unusual punishment"
