I'd like some advice about yr 9 ds.
We've just had his end of year progress tests back he did great at "reading" (8/9) but below expected in "English skills"(4/9)
I emailed his teacher and got a slightly fobbed off reply that he is on course for "expected" and not to worry. But should I be?? Is it normal to be so different in different categories?It looks to me like he might be missing some fundamental skills but I'm not sure what we should be doing next!
Any ideas?
