Slow handclap for Theresa May. Chugging ahead with grammar school proposals despite the evidence that they are bad for social mobility (the bit about social mobility has now been dropped from the discussion), and now it comes out that the national funding formula disproportionately affects the poor.

For all the talk about wanting to help the JAMs, it's clear that she actually is saying 'oh god, not poor people, I mean the middle classes'.

My ds goes to secondary with high PP and in area stated to be disadvantaged.
I watch with despair and interest at politics....
It's a bloody good school that has to battle against local middle class snobbery and seemingly government attack and bias as well now.
Oh for some good news....
