Dd1 loves being a good girl so much that I worry it will backfire on her

She received a sticker from the headteacher today and a special mention because she tapped two boys on the shoulder in assembly and told them to be quiet.

It's sad really but I worry that very soon she will start getting into trouble with other pupils for being "too good" IYSWIM.

Any thoughts?

She's in year one and atm seems quite popular.

I think lots of them are like that in the early years of school, dd loves to come home and regale us with tales of the naughty children and how she is setting them on the right path.

She'll be fine, I'm sure.
It's good that she likes to follow the rules.
And girls are very helpful for keeping those pesky boys in line, IME.
Refer back to this post in a few years, when she's breaking her curfew and liking the look of unsuitable young men!

Dd (also Y1) has similar tendencies. And I have similar worries.

I think that they're still young enough for this kind of thing to be approved of by their peers, and therefore they are popular. If an adult praises her, she is to be admired, IYSWIM.

We know that there will come a time when that changes, but I think it will come gradually, and hopefully we'll be able to steer our LOs on to a more moderate path.

Wish that either of my DS's were being too good!!!

my dd was like this ,we used to call her PCRose.She's 15 now and although she's a very well behaved teen she's not teacher's pet or anything like it,they learn gradually what is and isn't acceptable behaviour in their peer group.
So don't worry she'll be fine,even though you're cringing now.
