Every year I have watched with interest and excitement as all of these types of threads have progressed to offers.

Finally in the same boat. The Christmas prep is wearing...And couldn't find anyone to share the experience with.... hence this attempt to start one....

Anyone else want to join? If I have missed a school... please feel free to still join in and add your school of interest.

Currently burning the night oil trying to find more comprehension material... anyone have any online suggestions?

If my calculations are correct, we'll be in possession of envelopes (thick, thin, small, big) three weeks from now. Yikes. Shock Good luck for this last stretch, everyone. As a matter of interest: does anyone know how many places are available at T 11+ this year? And from past experience: roughly what percentage of boys interviewed get offers?

DS had interview today. He thought it went ok but wasn't very forthcoming!! Short term memory loss seems to have taken hold of him. Good luck to everyone who still have interviews and for those who have passed this hurdle. Does anyone know whether offer/ no offer letters get posted all together on the same day? A previous post mentioned we'll hear in 3 weeks. I forgot to ask when we would hear the outcome! X

We should all be getting letters from T. on Friday 10th Feb (they are posted on the 9th)- just before the half term! Booked the day off work as will not be able to wait a minute longer!

Hi all hope everyone's interview went ok today? I think Trinity offers had about 60 places at 11plus - they do tend to over - offer I think

Ds is pleased. But he doesn't say much in terms of what wss asked. Fingers crossed now!
They did day they were going to take 70 boys at T.

Our interview is next week at T .. I am a bit nervous but trying to motivate DS as much to stay calm . He likes T a lot and hope the interviewer likes him well enough to offer him a place :-)
Thinking what will happen to my nails - for the 3 weeks wait after that .. I can imagine myself as a nailless and a all grey hair mum now !!

if it's not an offer this year we want then I will be back again next year for 11+ hoping for a better offer ..

Can't remember whether anyone has answered this- does anyone know how many offers are made for T 10+?

It varies @anxiouslywaiting1 .on the website it's 46 but guess they can go upto 55/60 depending on the students they get . There is no fixed number between 46-60 .

Does anyone know the same info for Whitgift? How many students they interview and how many places there are available?

This year's 10 + year has 63 boys in it...

I asked them
On the intervie day at whitgift . they said they will take around 60 boys +- according to the boys they get . I think both schools are a bit flexible in terms of 10+ and take 10boys plus minus every year according to the number of students applied and the kind of boys that get that fits in to their schools ethos . Correct me if am Wrong mums whose children are
Already in both the schools .

Thanks sbmum. What I meant was how many offers made not places - e.g. they must offer more than 63 for a cohort of 63. Would they perhaps offer to 100 expecting approx 2/3 to say yes?

DS1 is in the upper 6th and, in his year, they over offered at 11+ and had to put in a bulge class. I think they've been more careful since then. I don't know actual numbers though.

There is another bulge year at T too SoupDragon - the current Second Year has 7 classes, not 6. And that is despite it being a low birth rate year.
