Ofsted inspection rated requires improvement twice in a roll

One of our local free secondary schools has ,for the second time in 2 years, been given rated: needs improvement in all areas in its latest Ofsted inspection . Does anyone know what happens to the school and SLT in such a situation

As it is a free school, my guess would be they will be given more time. Free schools are expensive to run and a flagship policy so unless it is utterly useless, and RI is not, they will be expected to buy in advice and sort themselves out. Only a handful of free schools have been censored so I would not expect great changes.

They will get another Ofsted inspection in about 2 years time. If they are not good at that inspection then they are as likely to be put into a category. As a free school that is then an interesting problem for the DfE but one assumes that they will be expected to join a Multi-Academy Chain, which is expected to improve the school.
