Every morning, until next year when he goes to school every day.

Little boy gone.

Proud but sad too.

oh nearly 4 - I remember when dd1 started at the sn kindy two mornings a week at age 3- she seemed to tiny to be going off there. Then mainstream kindy last year.

I think I cried more than she did - not that I let the other mum's see

what a big step for you both.

He's gone to preschool since 20 months, but I regarded that as babysitting for a day and a half a week so I could work/study.

But this is the start of his formal education, and it's for him, and I've shifted all my work around so he can go.

her sn kindy has now expanded to two days a week - due to the change in ed system here in QLD - she was to start pre-school this year ( beginning of formal ed) but she now starts prep in O8.

Big big steps then nearly4bob.

Where HAS the time gone? Wow ...

Well that was easy. Took him in, showed him toilets, talked him through contents of bag, then he used toilet not once but twice. Then he told me I could go home, he was going to make a hydroelectric power station with his new friend.

Trouble was the teachers wanted me to stay to check for anything he would be allergic to. So I had a quick look and then went. Short of checking every kids lunch box I wasn't going to find anything anyway.

I then went and had a shop (bought absolutely loads of clothing for next summer for around 15 quid) and am obviously now home.

Ah, N4B ... fab ... LOL at hydoelectric power station ... That boy is going places!

He should be home by now ... did he have a good day?

nearlyfourbob · 26/01/2007 02:30

When I turned up, he said "no mummy it can't possibly be afternoon yet." He looks tired, but won't admit to it.

Apparently they didn't make a hydro electric power station because "nobody understood what I said."

oh good old Bob, but yes - all grown up. I'm glad it went well.

a hydroelectric power station - he should have come and have a chat with my dad! (a retired hydroelectric power engineer)

nearlyfourbob · 26/01/2007 05:12

Can he talk for hours on the subject? Does he fancy all the tea he can drink?
