I need some advice. What can we get for DD1's teacher and two assistants? In the past we usually do a collection but no one is volunteering and I don't have that much time. (Work and moving). Any teachers out there, let me know what are your thoughts? BTW DD1 is in YR1.

I was speaking to my youngest childs nursery teacher last week about xmas.

Was trying to get an idea as to what she'd like, in an indirect way.

Eventually i said about a bottle of wine, and her response was, 'now that sounds more like it'.

Think i'll be bulk buying in Tesco next week!!!!

OMG I must be such a misery - I have never bought anything for either of my kids teachers. I always let my children make them cards at Christmas and write something inside, because for me, a child prepared card has always meant 10 times more than any shop bought box of chocs.

Sorry but I can't help it. I get fed up with all this buy buy buy at Christmas.
