Moving to St Albans (Avenue Road), infant and primary schools

Hello, I'm planning on moving with my husband to St Albans (Avenue Road, NW from the station) and was reading that schools in town are very oversubscribed. What are the chances that kids will get into Maple Primary School and Bernards Heath Infant and Junior Schools? Thank you.

Both schools are highly regarded and very popular (Bernards Heath is bigger of course which makes it more helpful in terms of likely turnover/ getting in in the first place).

The current list of Herts schools with vacancies is here. Neither Maple nor BH have vacancies currently unfortunately. How old are the DC and when are you looking for them to start?
