Sky Garden in London - how strict are they about photo ID?

Booked tickets for this but it's now been pointed out to me (not having read the small print) that we will need to take photo ID. I don't have any (don't drive and passport is about 10 years expired). Someone has said that the ID issue is less about security and more about discouraging ticket touts from selling these free tickets to unsuspecting tourists.

Can anyone advise?

Thanks.

Take your expired passport and a credit card with your name on.

Or call / e-mail them to ask?

We got in with a work ID card (and a slight telling off - but they still let us in!).

My mum and I both forgot photo ID and the security lady was happy enough just to see a bank card. Think it was just making sure our names matched the names on the tickets?

Could you ring beforehand and explain?

Been a few times now and never been asked for I.D.

I've been 3 times & have never been asked for ID.

And why is this in Education?
