Primary schools in the Dulwich / Denmark Hill area, SE London?

We're currently living in Bermondsey and are possibly about to move down to Dulwich / Denmark Hill kind of area. I've got the League Table results in front of me listing schools in the area but of course I'd rather hear from people living in the area what they think are the nicest schools / areas to aim for. I can't find Dulwich Village school on my list, is that because it's an infant school?

I'd really appreciate any help you can give.

Are there any MNetters in the area?

thanks blu, you make it sound lovely! Catchment would be someone within a 5-10 min walk from the school though surely?

Is the public transport awful then? Where are you based blu?

IF, don't know if you'd be interested in something like this? I seem to have ended up on their mailing list, but I've never been (seems aimed at Mums with younger children tbh!) They are in Gallery Road, near the Village iirc

I live in the Brixton area. I go to E Dulwich etc as a treat
I am biased because I have always lived within walking distance of the tube...you need to check that the overground rail services from the stations you are within reach of are frequent enough, late enough at night and go to the right stations to be useful to you. Buses across the whole area seem ok - but are suburban in frequency and choice rather than logjammed at the traffic lights, iyswim.

blu I know Brixton well, I lived in Kennington for a long while and used to go there to shop all the time. At the moment I can take a bus into town fairly easily. Or a tube. But I'll forego transport problems if it means that we get a good school place for dd!

Serenity, it looks ok to me but I think you're right maybe for mums with babies?
