Other than sweets does anyone have any ideas of what our school to buy to give to the children from Santa. We need abouy 250 suitable for boys and girls. Last year it was a pencil and pad, this year they want to think of something different. What does your school do. Other than Baker Ross/Yellow Moon are there any other good places or ways to get gifts. Books would be great but what to get and getting something for that price could be tricky.

our school gives selection boxes (unhealthy i know) from santa and its literally the only stall that we can't make money on (charge £1 and they usually cost about 95p), other than that try ebay - i picked up a load of good stuff for lucky dip from www.partiesinthebag.co.uk. really helpful lady and she will even have the stuff on sale or return (if i remember right), but well worth a look. good luck! x

Try fun2make.co.uk.
They have lots of small craft sets and sell in bulk. Can get a sand art kit for around 70p, or various colouring bits and pieces. lots of different themes. Brilliant service too.

Tesco were selling off their garden toys really cheap, e.g. water guns, frisby, hoops etc.

Look for shops that have 3 for 2 offers.

Ebay do great things for lucky dips/prizes etc.

fussymummy - yes I got loads of those Tesco things for our school's autumn fair. IIRC frisbees were 22p, skipping sticks 24p, and the like. I did get some funny looks buying a trolley load of frisbees though!

Have you looked at Hawkins Bazaar? Some of their stocking fillers are nice here

Tescos had personal radios for £1 but they were on special offer buy 2 get 1 free I bought 70 last time I was there for santas presents plus they were doing 2 make up bags for the same deal and lip glosses so although the checkout girl was mad when I bought 200 plus bits from the value range I think the kids will love them!

wopps checkoutgirl thought I was mad!

If you still looking for ideas, Tesco are selling their £1 bargain items, buy 1, get 1 free

You'd only be paying 50p each item!!!

last year, santa gave all the children at DDs primary school a decoration for their xmas trees. I thought it was a lovely idea.
