Does anyone know of anything? DD is going to nursery from 1:00-3:30 in Twickenham. So our nanny is looking for something to do in tht time with our now 16 month old DS. If there was a music class that would be compatible with the times that would be great. But, I am hard pressed to find an afternoon activity!

Can anyone suggest anything?

not sure about afternoon music classes but have you tholught about the 1 o clock club at Marble Hill? you could try calling CIS in richmond ( sorry don't have number) for a listing of different classes on through the week

What's the 1:00 club?

it's a drop in playgroup in Marble HIll, called so because it starts at 1 o clock. Lovely outdoors bit - stuff inside is a bit on the small side, actually not sure when it closes for the winter. Teas and cookies available. Painting, dressing up that sort of thing inside. outside lots of ride on things, play house, sand pit etc . v nice when weather is nice.
tumbletots do afternoon classes in twickenham on a MOnday, not sure about other days. - erncroft way in a church hall ( can't think of name of church tho) . it's near the 316 on the roundabout near the rugby ground

1:00 club = hell imho

you could try monkey music uwila - my 15mo ds loves it. the same franchisee that operates our local class also looks after the twickenham and teddington classes - see here . lynn, who does the twickenham class, did ds's 1st bday party - she's great.

hth.

have really liked that 1 oclock club so am defending it! esp when bring a picnic!

Tutter · 18/09/2006 17:07

ok, will bow to your superior knowledge . in fact i have to admit to only trying it once - on a really hot day this summer. it was like blackpool.

Yes, I e-mailed monkey music earlier. DS seems to really like music. When it comes on he tries to mave his leg to the music (when standing) and it's so funny. We call it the elvis twitch. So, I'd relly like to find music. But, Tumbletots has a music component so that would be good too. I think I found it. It is in All Hallows church but I don't think they's get back to Twickenham Green in time to pick up DD.

Well, thanks for your advice and if anyone elses thinks of anything any advice would be welcome.
