Any experiance of christ's hospital school?

We are going to visit Christ's Hospital this Saturday for admission in September 2015, I would be very grateful of hearing of anyone's experience's?

My brother went here , my DS refunded to go as it was full boarding CH is a great school but its very unique like marmite you will love it or hate it lots of tradition and seeming pointless rituals and lets not start on the uniform but extremely generous with financial support but no as much as before ( my brother was on a 100% bursary ) apparently this Is pretty rare my issue was that they won't discuss fee's and bursaries until you've got through the selection process which is extremely cruel if and it does happen you get through it and you don't get the bursary level you were banking on most schools will give u an indication CH seems to be a law unto themselves BUT again it is a very unique school getting more and more popular as the recession bites and more people are looking for bigger bursaries. Make sure you stay to see the band marching into lunch its quite a sight ....

My son is in his 3rd year, enjoying himself and doing well. I agree it's a marmite school though

My daughter is starting at CH in September.

She initially hated the uniform, but after the overnight assessment said that she liked it!

I thought the children were all so confident and articulate.

The school offers lots of opportunities !

My son joined CH this Autumn. We live less than 10 minutes' drive away, so he's a day student. Was lucky enough to get a scholarship, which knocked off 15% of the fees, then received a bursary top-up. All in all, we pay about 10% of the full fee. 90% off is, I'm sure many will agree, very generous. I would suggest keeping a really good record of all your bank statements and yearly tax statements, as all your finances/mortgage info/pay slips will be combed through, by the bursarial team. If, on paper, you prove that you need lots of financial support, then they'll have no reason to hold back funds. Good luck to you; It's a great school xx.
