Thanks Shootingatpigeons. DD got through to the interviews and I wasn't sure how their position differed. Agree that it is about finding the school that is right for the individual. Difficult though when the schools tend to make it all about the straight academics. My DD is as bright as her older brother who got academic scholarship to St Pauls Boys; but she is slightly "quirky" and less needing to please so less worried about 100% scores. I just want a school to see her talent and inspire her to channel her ideas into one direction, but it is hard to see which one of the West London school will be 'just right'.

Analou you may find that your DD works that out for herself once she has been through the process. They get a feel for the schools, and certainly DD1 knew exactly where she wanted to go, and it was a complete change of mind from one based on preconceptions, and she was right, she thrived there. She always said it wasn't right for DD2 but that just made the sibling rivalry stronger!!
