I have just stumbled across this on You Tube "BBC Panorama The Best Days 1977" A Documentary about a 1976 Comprehensive School in London.

The Documentary goes on to show how awful Education was in the 1970s and early 1980s.

Michael Gove needs to watch this Documentary to show how far Education has come in the last 37 years. Unfortunatly i Cannot link to You Tube
this Documentary is a fascinating look at how bad Education was in the 1970s.

By comparison Educating Yorkshire and Thornhill come out looking outstanding.

I think he wants to go back to the 1950s .......Grammar Schools and Secondary Moderns.

Soul. I have just watched the Documentary on you tube. I thought it was my old Comprehensive in Staffordshire.

The teachers are just stereotypical 1970s types. The form teacher looks like he has just come back from a "Ban the Bomb march" . The Housemaster would make anyone want to leave . The biscuit though is taken by the careers advisor .... Can anyone tell me what the difference is between a typist and a P.A.
