Skippersocks · 19/10/2013 22:06

.....any teachers out there??? I have never seen a single post of support for him. It would be interesting to see if there are any and to hear some counter arguments.

Do it again tethersend

Tweasels · 20/10/2013 00:58

I wish they'd bring back Spitting Image. Gove would make an excellent satirical puppet.

The trouble with Gove is not only the teachers and parents think he's a Twat the pupils do too.

When you fuck about so badly with the exam system that even a 15y knows your name, job title and that your a prick, it's time to go.

creamteas · 20/10/2013 08:55

Not a teacher but a university lecturer (and a parent) and I despair at what Gove is doing to education.

Universities are under BIS, so we are one step removed, but seeing the fall out from exam results.

I am also irate at the way that he claims that the changes are what universities want, when this is pretty much never the case.

PervCat · 20/10/2013 08:56

he is OBSESSED with History. obsessed
his theory is ' if it worked for me at school thirty years ago its good'

thats all

marssparklesdownonme · 20/10/2013 09:03

www.goveversusreality.com says it all really . Watch the film to see everyone of his ideas challenged.

happyon · 20/10/2013 09:03

Higher education sector person here too and a parent. I have no words awful enough to describe how I feel about what this fuckwitt is doing to state education. Higher education is being destroyed under this gov too. It makes me despair.

YoureAllABunchOfBastards · 20/10/2013 09:05

I liked Estelle Morris. I met her and she was very nice.

I wouldn't piss Gove out if he was on fire. In fact, someone said recently, probably on here, he makes Keith Joseph and Kenneth Baker look good, and they were total cunts.

FadBook · 20/10/2013 09:11

His name is a swear word in our house.

As a parent, I hate him.
As a partner to a teacher, I hate him.
As a friend to many teachers, I hate him.

I've yet to come across one person who likes him.

chicaguapa · 20/10/2013 09:20

He is also the first Education Secretary who's had a vote of no confidence from every teaching union, including the head teachers', who never gets involved with politics. That's pretty damning.

Still, one for his precious history books.

tethersend · 20/10/2013 09:23

Just a friendly morning bump

MrsHerculePoirot · 20/10/2013 09:28

I don't know a single one. What I really want to say about him I am trying hard not to type....

stillenacht · 20/10/2013 09:29

Loathe loathe loathe him.

FamiliesShareGerms · 20/10/2013 09:34

Gove has been overseas this week, rather depleting the effect of the protests outside the DfE building.

My mum, former teacher of nearly 40 years, can't say his name, he is just "that man".

dawntigga · 20/10/2013 09:39

I'm a parent, I loathe the odious little oik.
I'm a governor at my child's school, I loathe the odious little oik.

He is, for example, a twunt.

MrsHerculePoirot · 20/10/2013 09:40

And I agree, when the teenagers we teach, know him, and hate him that has to mean something. I doubt more than a couple of previous cohorts could name their education secretary!

Skippersocks · 20/10/2013 09:58

Wow.Plus some of you report that you know not of such a teacher in RL.

There are approx 610000 teachers employed in the UK. This is not a number to be sniffed at. So why are the powers that be inside the Tory party so willing to risk loosing this number of votes?

OP posts:
ImpYCelyn · 20/10/2013 10:26

In reality they probably never could count on the votes of teachers. They don't historically (on the whole) vote Tory.

thestauntonlick · 20/10/2013 10:44

Just looking at the comments on youtube, don't think I've seen so many "cunts" in one place before

thestauntonlick · 20/10/2013 10:47

Apart from the Cabinet, obviously

Shootingatpigeons · 20/10/2013 10:56

I have a 17 year old and can confirm that Gove has the distinction of being able to out trend just about everything, music, drink, drugs, parties, clubbing, crap reality telly, on social networks. #most hated. Does he not realise these young people will get the vote anytime now?

BobbyGentry · 20/10/2013 11:15

Have you played us vs th3m ,'super tory boy,' online game? toys.usvsth3m.com/super-tory-boy/ 'tis funny and sums up general opinion :)

creamteas · 20/10/2013 11:15

Does he not realise these young people will get the vote anytime now?

The problem is that, in general, young people don't vote in large numbers. Which is why politicians of all parties prefer to shaft them more than pensioners.
