Why do they leave it till the last day of term to tell us next years teachers?

At our school they leave it till the last afternoon of term in July to notify us of next years teachers.

As I have twins I may like to discuss the decision.

Are your schools the same?

Recently as in recent years - don't know about next year yet.

We found out yesterday in the monthly newsletter they send home. My twin DDs (5), who are in separate clases, spend a morning with their new teachers in July, presumably when the new reception children visit their present classes.

Yes, some of it is curiousity, but I would like to know if the boys will be in the same class or different classes.

This year one of them has not settled well. He has been in a mixed class with a younger group, given easier work (which has bored him) and misbehaved.

Next year I am keen he is not in a mixed group. I won;t know till they get home on the last day and then it will be too late.

I have spoken to the head and she said that decisions hadn't been made yet and it would be a school decision. I told her waht i wanted and she said it would be taken into consideration.

where does that leave me if I don;t agree with it.
