this school sounds interesting..Ididn't hink you could get into uni without any exam passes

You can get into university without examinations, but it can be a lot harder, you really do have to sell yourself and prove to the university that you are at a comprable standard to those who have the qualifications....not something to do for your kids lightly

Also for highly competative courses in top of the range universities there will be such competition admissions tutors may not have the time to take a personal interest in admissions that are outside 'the norm'

You'd probably need to get them to interview you--but with so many applications to process there often isn't time for this ...

Yes, I read that and emailed dh asking him if he wanted to move to Glos. - I think it is sad that the system is such that children that are schooled 'outside the norm' would have to fight to get themselves heard. I imagine that children schooled in this way become very good at independent thought and self-motivation, two skills which would make one very successful at university.
