St Joseph's Catholic School, Deptford vs Morden Mount Lewisham

Hi, my twin children were accepted in Morden Mount (Lewisham SE13) for the reception year. That was my first choice, but was done primarly for proximity to home reasons, without me doing much research before. However, the last time i visited the school I got a very bad vibe and I very much regretted the decision i made (the decision was made in a rush and due to uncertainty on how i will cope with the school run while being a single working mum for the first time). I called Lewisham council and the only option at this point seems to be St Joseph's Catholic School in Deptford. The latest Ofsted report is as bad as Morden Mount, but was done 5 years ago, so i am wondering if the school has improved at all in the last five years. I will visit tomorrow, because i have to make up my mind by tomorrow, but has anyone any feedback to give on any of those two schools, especially St Joseph's? Also, do you know how easy (or difficult) it is to change schools later in year? Thank you in advance!

I am afraid I don't know anything about these schools, but am wondering if you could ask at the twins' nursery for info? There will be big bros & sis who've left the nursery for these schools, surely?

Good luck

Thanks for your reply! All the parents from the nursery i've asked live far and are not familiar with these schools. A couple have said they have not heard very goodthings about Morden Hill. But thanks for taking the time to reply!

:)

Hope the twins settle well in whichever school you choose.
