Is there ratios for adults to kids in playgrounds?

I don't know if there is a ratio but the school we are hpoing to get dd into has 7 dinner ladies.
1 is actually allocated for each class and they move up with them through the school years, so they have another adult they can get to know considerably well. I like the idea of plenty of adults to keep a check on things in the playground. A happy child obviously learns better.

Not a ratio as such but the school should do risk assessment and assess how many supervisors they need given the different types of children they have. For example if they are swamped with kids who have behaviour problems and tend to bash other kids over the head then they should have more supervisors than a school that only had genteel types.
