Welcome, Flowers114. I hope you've had some useful answers to your query and I hope you enjoy using MN Smile

heavenis · 27/02/2006 17:56

So flowers114 are you planning to do something about the mums in your area that do send their children out, and did/does it depend on what peoples general view is on here.

VeniVidiVickiQV · 27/02/2006 18:37

Welcome Flowers. In answer to your OP - no i wouldnt send mine because i live right next to a dual carriageway. I might if i lived where traffic was quiet. I wouldnt hand over a £20 note though.

I just woke up my 2 year old and my nine month old DD's and asked them if they would take a twenty to the offy and nab me some rizlers, White Lightning and Space Raiders. DD1 blew a raspberry at me and rolled over and went back to sleep. More promisingly, DD2 took the twenty and prompty munched it into a soggy mash.

Bugger.

Guess I'll just have to nip over there myself. They'll be all right on their own for twenty minutes or so. Might stop off at the local park on my way home too.

CaptainDippy · 27/02/2006 21:08

Welcome Flowers!! Smile

RedZuleika · 28/02/2006 09:21

And why will you be stopping off at the park on your way back, CaptainDippy? Is this your crack puffing habit rearing its head again...?

Grin

Elf1981 - I live on a street like that. There are always kids playing out and last summer there was a cricket match in the wide bit of the cul-de-sac every evening. I take my children to play out but by the time they are 8 I think I will let them play out on the street on their own. ATM my biggest worry re them playing out is cars. It is one of the nicest things about living where we do.

7up · 28/02/2006 16:59

flowers, you got a lot of stick at the beginning of this thread but youve had so many replies i hope those who were mean to you are now having regrets and feeling rather sillySmile
