Does anyone know of a fun educational PC game for kids?

My 5 year old son is playing the computer all day long, and I really want to buy him a present that he will like. Can anyone recommend on a nice educational computer game for him? Maybe something a little bit more contributing than the things he usually plays?

Hi Jessica. It's been a while since I bought anything but see if you can find anything interesting by Knowledge Adventure. Also there was a Fireman Sam game that my ds loved because it made him think. I don't have them anymore so I can't give much information. Be a bit vigilant about online games because I noticed that some sites have some rather horrendous pop-ups appear which are easy to click on by mistake.
