I've been asking round, phoning, hanging around on waiting lists, etc. for almost a year!

I've got his place confirmed: I'm just waiting to hear now whether he will be starting this week or after half term.

Top tips for nagging/reminding/rewarding for doing regular practice please

He's loving it
No problems on the practising front at all. He's eager and enthusiastic. I hope we get some more notes next week though, because I'm bored of Middle C!

(He's not bored though, and yesterday ds1 complimented him on his beautiful music - LOL!)

oh btw......................................................................have you?????

I screwed up my courage and phoned them on Monday (brownie points please) but they had no appts for this last week
This coming week dh is away and I'm really busy, so don't want it this week.
Next week af prob, so that won't work!

Currently am very irregular, so I can't book weeks in advance, but that's no good if they get fully booked

Sorry for the intrusion...

Quick update in case anyone's interested. Thanks for all your suggestions about practising - ds2 is loving his piano lessons and his practising! We haven't had to nag or bribe him at all. I told him to do 5 mins twice a day, and he usually plays for 10-25 mins twice a day!

He's made astonishing progress and I'm dead proud of him Grin
After just 5 lessons he's now made it onto his teacher's "top ten students list" and he's playing with two hands and all ten fingers Shock

I wonder when the novelty will wear off?
If he continues at this rate I'm definitely going to have to get the piano tuned!

excellent news roisin - long may it continue (and I think you should get the piano tuned anyway, as should I).
