I have googled and found some sunday times list, but you have to pay for it?

is there any other list I can look at to see top rated state schools in NW1, NW3?

Are there any parent review sites? or just ofsted?

What do you mean by top rated? Best SATs / GCSE's or something more?

The BBC has links to the primary and secondary school league tables. You can check by London Borough and sort by click the catagories at the top.

Remember that top results doesn't necessarily mean top school. Check the value-added score which is arguably a better measure of the education on offere than the results. Also schools vary in ethos and approach and a good fit for your child is the most important thing.
