dinny is it her first time? do you get a home visit? Our nursery do home visits the first week or so then take them in ,in dribs and drabs. You could check with the school tomorrow

Dinny it depends if there is INSET, Surrey schools do go back tomorrow but most are closed for teacher training, DS back on Wednesday.

oh, never thought about home visit - no, they haven't mentioned it. she's done a settling session and loved it so think they are happy for her to start. it's a really small school, maybe that's why??

I need to say thanks for this thread. After someone posted that Caerphilly schools go back tomorrow, I double checked and so do mine after all! nearly got it wrong.

DS not back to Kindergarten until next Mon. Over here we have another public holiday to get ot of the way on Fri 6th . Mind you he didn't finish until 23 Dec so can't complain.

my ds goes back tomorrow, he dosnt want to go, im not looking forward to tommorrow morning!

Ds1 has gone hback today,the others go tomorrow,it was awful getting hoim up this morning especially as he doesn't like school especially anyway.There's just been no time to re establish a routine.

yippe, dd started school today (well, the nursery bit). seemed to really like it (and so did I!)

DD1 back at school tomorrow, DD2 at preschool Thursday morning only.
DD1 off school Friday for god damn teacher training day. Two weeks off and they still need to do teacher training during term time. Grrrrrr!

No they don't! This was originaly holiday time and it has come out of teachers annual leave! your child would be off school that day anyway. The teachers lost the days holiday that is all!

So The 'God damn' teachers are giving up holiday time to help become better teachers for your child!
