Not suggesting for a minute that your DS had anything to do with being bashed, but this thread has reminded me of a good example of how things aren't always what they seem in these cases. Hopefully, it might raise a laugh...

Anyway, many years ago my mother received a phonecall from up the mum of another boy in my brother's class. The woman was furious and angrily exclaimed that my brother had bitten her son's bum. Now, my brother was no saint but he didn't tend towards biting his peers; at that moment he walked into the room so my mum asked the lady to hang on and demanded, "Did you bite xxx on his bottom?" "Yes," said my bruv. "Why on earth did you do that," enquired my increasingly embarrassed mother. "Because he was sitting on my head and wouldn't get off," replied my brother. The woman on the other end of the phone made her apologies and said goodbye.

Oh come on - that was quite a funny anecdote...
