Living and primary education in Bishops Stortford

Hi!
we're planning to move to Bishops Stortford from Dublin, Ireland in a couple of months as my DH has a good job offer there. We have a 2yr old DD who will start preschool next yr and primary school in Sept 2013.
I am looking for some advice on living in BS, is it a nice place to bring up a child without being constantly worried about her getting into bad company? Also are there any antisocial goings on as I came across some thread on another website where everyone was saying really bad things about BS!

I'm not sure what you mean about antisocial goings on!

It is a lovely place to live with some of the best state schools in the county.

There are lots of child friendly things to do and I have found it very family orientated.

I read in another thread where some local people were saying not so good things abt BS, like people getting into pub brawls/mugging, etc!! But at the same time Ive read lots of nice things abt it too!! :)
