Are you an MTA? fancy having a thread to gripe groan and celebrate working with school kids for an hour a day on minimum wage.

Me!

My year group is funny lovely and frustrating at the same time.

And thank God no Wet Play recently. Grin

We had one wet play last week, haven't had to do that for ages, thankfully we had enough people on to staff 5 classrooms plus one to ones. It's grim when we have to double up yr 2 & 3.

small school, with 4 stand alone classrooms plus 3 in one building.

We are a large school for the area, 2 full classes per year group, so 60 kids per year, which is a lot when you have to go between 2 classes for wet play.

ohh eck, yes that would be grim. Maybe I should be thankful we have only one classroom per year and not all years are as big as 30.

I am a "cover & casual" MTA so work in which ever role needs someone that day/ week IF I am available. I also work on other projects that sometimes take priority over school as they pay soooo much better.
