My son has been offered a place there and I just wondered if by any chance there was someone on mumsnet who's child goes there so I can find out what it's like.

Thanks

You're in luck, my little boy has just started at Montpelier (reception class)!

I've changed my name for this btw, but happy to answer questions.

Guess I will need to change my name after this too!!! My son is at another school in Ealing but has now been offered a place at Montpelier. He is quite settled at this other school, but the school does not have as good a reputation as Montpelier, and I'm not sure what to do. Has your son settled in well? Is he happy (I know he's only been there a few weeks, but ykwim!). Would you recommend the school on your experience so far??? Any other info welcome. And thanks.....real luck you were logged on....

Just got to go and sort out the tumble dryer - will be back in a few mins and will tell you what I think.

Yes, he's very happy there so far and has settled in brilliantly. He did attend the school's nursery beforehand, so went into his class with 3 or 4 children he already knew.

The school has a relatively new Head (been there about 2 years) and he seems to be having a v positive impact. There will be some major building work over the next few years as the school has been given a large grant to update it's premises.

The school has 3 form entry, so there are 3 classes in each year group.

I've spent some time as a parent helper there and liked the "feel" of the place.

Thanks PurpleJumper. I'm going to call them tomorrow to see if I can take my son in to have a look around. If we take the place then I'm sure you'll know who we are

Hope all goes well for him Snips - funny to think there's definitely another Mumsnetter in the reception playground in the mornings .
