Has anyone done this ?
My DD is 2 points off the pass mark, we're going to appeal as she woke up feeling unwell on the day, i called the school to say she wasn't coming, then she decided she wanted to take it, I should have sent her back to bed.
Anyway that and the fact that she is at level 5 and has been since year 4.
I'm just worried DH and I will not be able to convey this as well as a professional or is a professional likely to have the opposite effect on the panel ?

I would generally recommend against using someone like this to represent you. In my view most parents are much better off representing themselves. If you think you will be so nervous you won't be able to string two words together it would be another matter but I am sure the panel will be much happier getting the facts from you than from someone else.

I think the main plank of your case will be to suggest that the school knew your daughter was unwell and failed to take this sufficiently into account.
