Sparklebox2 - Is it owned and run by the man who is now in prison?

Sorry for weird thread title - I couldnt think of a better way to word it!

I keep seeing links (on HomeEd websites) for Sparklebox2 - when you click on it, its very similar to sparklebox but also different (different background screen maybe?)

Anyway is it ok to use as a website?
Or is it still owned and run by the man who downloaded pictures of kids etc and is now in prison?

Sorry if this has been done and dusted on MN already - I am officially on a MN break so havent been around recently!

This is the Key stage 2 version of the original site and owned by the same man. I wouldn't use it myself

From a quick google it would appear they are both owned by the same person, so yes he one who was imprisoned.

Most schools are not allowed to use Sparklebox - it's been blocked on their computer systems.

Arghhhhhhh that is annoying

There is even a sparklebox blog - on which someone is listing all the new resources being added to the site
The someone is apparently the "Sparklebox team" who you can contact by email - several times they say "thankyou for supporting our site"

Creepy not quite knowing whether its ok to use it - I will steer well clear for now

Thanks all - though I am still hoping someone can tell me it is ok!!! (there was a rumour months ago it might be taken over and continued by someone as there is so much great stuff on there)

I believe a relative ran it while he was in prison.

Who could run a website for a relative who is in prison for being a peadophile?

Im annoyed because there is so much fab stuff on there that cant be used whilst that man is still in charge of it all - Im still coming across people who tell me what a great site it is and have no idea about the man who owns it :(
