TEACHERS - how do you cope when you feel like crap?

I am doing a PGCE and am on my first placement in a lovely school, but I have a horrible cold. I lost my voice for a few days and am now hacking and sniffling through my classes.
How do you manage when you feel shitty? The kids are all backing away when I try and help them!

Berocca, even when you are past PGCE and have been teaching for 5 years. Lemsips, and when you are home, steam to clear your sinuses, with some menthol crystals. An Olbas stick up your nose helps, or Olbas oil on a tissue. Olbas sweets as well, they really get everything moving, or Fishermans' Friends.

Get your planning/marking done in your frees at school and lots of sleep. It will get harder, so you need to get over this as soon as you can.

Huge amounts of chocolate.

Good luck!

Thanks guys, just to reassure, I was not teaching on my own, but I had planned the lesson and there was going to be another teacher in the room with me who did not know what I had planned, big sick issues in dept this week. Was all okay, the senior staff moved everything round anyway so I was observing all day in other departments, no voice needed!
Now I just need to work out how to not get lost going round the school....
