Knorr stock pots/single use plastic

Hi, I just saw an ad for Knorr Stock pots and ...can it be they are made of plastic? When foil wrapped stock cubes or bouillon powder or even real cooking scraps are so readily available how can they justify single use plastic? AND attach foil to make recycling too tricky AND advertise them as if this wasn't a global issue?
I'm new to mums net but can't help thinking that a mums campaign against this unnecessary and damaging 'progress' might carry some weight?
While we're at it we could veto plastic tampon applicators too....cardboard was just fine......anyone? Xxx

The plastic tampon applicators are much more comfortable.

But they end up on the beach in their millions and particles of them killing sea life. We are too often seduced into destroying the natural world in exchange for another bit of extra comfort. Cardboard didn't make is bleed or give us lasting damage...it was just ... What it was...a means to an end that we could all cope with if not enjoy. I'm not a puritan but I maintain that a healthy planet is more important than this unnecessary bit of extra comfort for us humans.
