Shipping to Malta.

If I were to send a parcel (about 500g, 18x18x16cm) to Malta, my research tells me that it would cost about £20 at the very cheapest. A have a potential bidder insisting that they've only paid £6-7 before, for a similar purchase.

Is it me being stupid, do you think? Obviously if I can accommodate this, I'd like to as it'll mean an extra bidder, but at this rate I'll be paying for them to have it!

They have been really applying pressure to me & today have suggested that we 'agree on 10 sterling', which unless I am being daft still leaves me greatly out of pocket.

Is there a secret super-cheap UK-Malta courier I've not found?!

500g small packet to europe is £3.85. An extra £4.25 if you want international signed for

That's airmail btw - don't bother with surface mail as they will have filed an item not received, got a refund long before it arrives

You have to look at Royal Mail's site, not The Post Office, but information is still not easy to find. I agree that the term "small packet" is misleading. It must not exceed 2kg in weight and size restrictions are:

One surface must be at least 90mm x 140mm

Length, width and depth combined must not be greater than - 900mm

The greatest single dimension must not exceed - 600mm

unless it is a "roll" in which case different dimensions apply.
