"Monthly billing paypal account - wtf????"

Last month I sold my first ever ebay item. Last week I noticed an email saying that my monthly billing invoice was £1.92, which is 10% of the sale price. Didn't really think anything of it, assumed that they invoice AFTER they take their cut.

So last week I sold my second item for £73 which paypal hang onto as I'm a newby so they have to get pos. feedback from the seller.

Yesterday got an email from paypal to say this month my monthly billing invoice is £26.85. How can this be right? I can't get any sense out of paypal automated services, no humans seem to be available.

Can anyone advise me please? They say they're taking the fee on 25 June so obviously I want to get this sorted asap.

Thanks for any help

I assume the fee's are ebays fee's and not paypals.. I guess they are advising fee's will automatically come from your paypal account.

Looking at ebays policies they charge 10% for sold items and the additional fee's depends on how the item was advertised (pictures, starting prices, reserve prices etc) May be worth looking here.

Usually ebay advise me when fee's are due and that payment will be taken 10 days after the email was sent.

Thanks. I'll try calling ebay today. It certainly doesn't look like they should be taking a one third cut, looking at the fee list you posted.

cheers.
