trouble with an ebay buyer

So I sold a girl's skirt on ebay and posted next day. I was then contacted by the ebayer that there were "disgusting brown stains" and they needed compensation... news to me - so I offered to refund if she returned it - then I got but her daughter likes it can she have it at reduced cost, so I said full refund on return - then I got but I have washed it - I have said I will still refund if she sends it back .....
all correspondence has gone via ebay messages.
What can I do apart from: blocking her from buying me again and putting up with negative feedback?

Any thoughts - I know it was clean!

I would say she's accepted it. YOu offered a refund. What more can you do?
Definitely block her from buying from you again.

Reply calmly to the feedback explaining that the skirt was clean and have no idea what she is talking about.

People can often tell who is telling the truth if you do this.

Yes also say in your reply that you offered a refund.

Something after her comment she leaves you, like: 'Item was clean to my knowledge, offered goodwill refund but buyer declined'

Hold your ground, KathG, you have said the right things.

Thanks for all your support- have been getting quite hassled by it with DH saying why bother selling on ebay...

I am wondering if one can google to find buyers like this by the sellers responses so that one can block before this happens...

Just remember that buyers like this are few and far between.

There is always one, but thankfully they are fairly rare. I had a buyer complain yesterday because he wasn't in on Friday when the courier tried to deliver his parcel. I mean, what do you say to that?

I would just stand your ground and leave a pleasant, but firm reply to her feedback.

I had a buyer like this - brown stains on a dark grey skirt. She said it looked like gravy!!! She wouldn't return for a refund and left feedback metioning the stains. I noticed that she had left lots of feedback about stains/holes.
