Using 'official' pictures

Hi,

I'm looking to sell some good quality maternity clothes - mainly Isabella Oliver - and have been watching a few items that are the same to get an idea of what they sell for. I've noticed that a lot of sellers use the official photos (i.e. the ones on Isabella Oliver website) rather than photos they have taken themselves - can anyone tell me how they get those photos? The only thing I can think of is scanning in a catalogue picture?

Thanks!

it can put a lot of people off - best to put a photo on of your actual item.
plus, there's loads of copyright rules and stuff and your listing may get pulled because of it.

right click on the image on the IO site and choose save image as

yep i hate it when people use catalogue pics

makes me think they have something to hide. would much rather see a real pic

Thanks, useful to know it doesn't always go down well - but trying to take a good picture of a IO wrap top is a blinking challenge!

I agree it is off putting to only see catalogue pics - catalogue pic plus RL pic of your item is better

I like catalogue pics as long as there is a clear description of the condition.

I'd rather see a real pic.
