Hi Ladies,
Could any of you give me some help and advise with my E Bay selling.

I have a lot of clothes I have either outgrown or just no longer wear and am selling on E bay, however, I listed a lot of it last week and only 3 items sold. I was disappointed in the lack of interest, not to mention money, and the time it took to list them. I am broke as a badger at the moment and could really do with the extra cash!

Do you know of any keywords that are particularly popular at the moment? My stuff is all either vintage or vintage inspired high-street stuff.

I have listed it as 'vintage' and then an era (mostly 50s/60s) but wonder if some other keywords might help. I have also used 'Indie' and 'Ditsy' where appropriate, but remember a few years ago lots of stuff was described as 'Kate Moss/Nash, Dita, SATC, Courtney, LBG, EGL etc if it was of that style. These don't seem to be as popular anymore. I was wondering if there are new style-icons that I'm now so old and out-of-touch I don't know about!

Any advice/suggestions welcome, as I plan to re-list the stuff that didn't sell and add more. Many thanks x

Hiya Daisy.. ime of selling stuff it seems to be well known brands which seem to go well - i.e. topshop always seems to sell (not always for a lot of cash though) or french connection etc.. if i am buying, i personally search by label and size as i know which size to buy from certain shops iyswim? hope this is of some help?

be careful using terms such as 'kate moss style' - you could get your listing pulled if it is not actually 'kate moss'

The only way I could offer advise is to try and think what search words you would use to find an item. Look at your... for eg dress and then imagine what search words would lead to it - pale blue cotton long print floral summer dress 14. Does that make sense? Remember it doesn't have to be a sentence and don't waste characters with - and the lovely beautiful gorgeous L@@K W@W
Good luck

Thank you for replying and your help. I hadn't thought of listing the shop it was from in the title, as this is not something I would look for when searching for things. I'm a stickler for grammar and probably do try and list things in proper sentences, without even realising it! Will list things again soon, and hopefully get a better response. Thanks again.
