Feedback extortion (I think) - should I refund?

I've sold one of my husbands suits on Ebay and it was delivered yesterday. Emailed the buyer today to check it had arrived safely and he was happy, only to get back an email accusation that it was stained (which is news to me). Of course I immediately offered a full refund inc his postage, but he ways he doesn't want this and instead wants me to to pay for a dry clean at about 30% of the purchase price, with a veiled threat, " I'm about to leave my feedback...". I really don't think it's stained as I checked it before sending. I have one neg already this year though :-( What would you do?

you can report the message for feedback threat.
I'd stick to my guns on this one (he prob knows you really don't want another neg) and calmly reply that you would like him to return it it for a refund.
If he opens a dispute he will have to return it.
If he does neg you and mentions a dispute or anything you can get the FB removed.
If worse comes worse you can open a new ebay account.

I would not give back 30%. His right is to return it for a refund, not to request a discount on the amount paid.
If the item is, as he says, stained how could he be sure that dry cleaning would work anyway?
