Should seller pay return postage costs if item returned

Hi. I have recently sent two items back on
eBay. The first one was because it was listed as
the wrong size and didn't fit and the second item had a
stain. They were both sent back recorded delivery and I have just received a refund for the stained item but
not the return postage. Should I send message to seller asking for it. When I initially received the item I noticed it was stained straight away so sent a
message saying it was stained and I was
going to wash first to see if they came out. I took photos that showed the stains and the seller said
they stated no returns on their listing. I emailed the
photos and they could see the stains so asked me to send it back. What normally happens in situations like this as is the first time I have not been happy with items sent.

If i have had to return things i have never assumed that the seller should refund the postage. SOrry.

Sellers should refund the return postage if it is their fault - in your case both were at fault and so yes, you should be given the return postage. Unfortunately you can't force them to refund you (the return bit) but 'good' sellers would offer it.
It doesn't matter what they put on their listings, they are obliged to give refunds if they are at fault. Opening a dispute often 'explains' this to many silly sellers.

did you pay with paypal? Agree it was their fault so if they're any good they should refund the lot.

That's what I thought. As it was not my fault they should pay. If it were me as a seller I would refund the
postage if I was at fault as wouldn't want to
get negative feedbck. Will message the seller and see what they have to say on the matter. Thanks for your replys.
