DebsCee · 06/08/2010 13:50

Some new things from me too and about 30 bits of girls clothing to go on tonight and tomorrow here

Tortoise · 07/08/2010 12:28

Having a bit of an Ebay nightmare at the moment!
Faulty DS lite that i sent to France on the 21st, hasn't arrived despite being sent int signed for. Buyer paid £6 which was my UK postage price and didn't contact me before bidding or paying!
So i paid just over £6 to send.
They say it hasn't arrived. So i checked receipt for tracking code and PO didn't give me the receipt which code on so now i am stuffed! I do ave a receipt which shows it was sent int signed for so can claim through RM.

My items end tomorrow night and only 6 out of 34 have a bid. Sad

Have some laptop bits to list later!

August seems to be worst time of year to list, everyone away or planning to be away, I remember it was similar last year - if you can wait until the week before school starts back then that seems to be the time when things start to take off again unless you're listing very specific Summer or swimming/camping items.

Tortoise · 08/08/2010 22:29

Wow made a whole £33 tonight on 10 items!
One other one did sell but buyer was outside of UK and not an item that will be easy to post so i have asked them to agree to cancel. They also had 0% feedback!

OP posts:
Tortoise · 13/08/2010 22:02

Just got given neg feedback because item was posted wrapped in tissue paper (not normal thing stuff and i did 3 layers) and overcharged postage (they only paid 86p extra). Really Angry!

ElizabethWakefield · 26/08/2010 20:56

Well I made a start 23 items on! Loads more to go, but i find it so boring!

I am going to look into turbo lister I think!

Anyway, here are my items

Tortoise · 29/08/2010 19:58

Hello Smile. Back from hols. Had a great week, weather was pretty pants though!

Hope your items sell SNOW and EW.

Christmas thread sounds like a good plan. How much are we aiming for?

I still have a pile of stuff to sell, mostly unsold items. Not sure i can be bothered at the moment! Wish i had a car then i could do a huge car boot sale clearout.

NappyShedSal · 29/08/2010 22:46

Am I too late to join???! I figure the kids don't go back to school for a week so I've got a week to see how much I can make. Does that count?!

I've taken photos of 46 items today. Have been listing themsince 7.15pm and only have 20 done - ebay just seems so slow tonight. I really want to get the others listed tonight though as I go away next Monday and don't want them finishing after I'm away. (DH still here topost everything that sells).

I'll work out how to link to what I'm selling somehow as well - will never make £400.Maybe I should challenge you lot to guess how much you think I will make...

NappyShedSal · 30/08/2010 01:07

Well I've listed 38 items and have had enough! Hopefully this link will work so we can have some guesses as to how much I'll make.

Also, can someone please explain how Turbo Lister works and why it's quicker than listing the normal way?

Tortoise · 30/08/2010 09:28

Good luck with you items NappyShedSal. Smile Shame some aren't a size bigger!
Turbo lister is really easy. You add items to it when ever you like. Save them on it and upload when you are ready. So if you have maybe an hr spare each day and want to list lots to end on a Sunday, add a few items to each day then upload them all on the day you want. Smile

OP posts:
ElizabethWakefield · 30/08/2010 10:05

Good luck Nappyshedsal, some nice items there.

Glad you had a good holiday Tort, pity about the weather.

I had 3 items end last night, made 99p...woohoo Grin

Can I ask a stupid question about turbo lister....I have items on it, but I can't figure out how to upload them, feel quite stupid, but hoping someone can help!

What about makeing £250 our target for Xmas? Or £300...Just thinking that there isn't really that long to go?

Tortoise · 30/08/2010 10:24

There is loads of time until Christmas > £300 sounds good. Shall i start a thread?

OP posts:
Tortoise · 30/08/2010 10:28

Whoops! Forgot to answer turbo lister question!
Is the item in Inventory? If it is, click add to upload. It will move to 'Waiting to upload' section down the side. You can either upload then or click on 'waiting to upload' and upload from there. Hope that makes sense! Grin

OP posts:
NappyShedSal · 30/08/2010 11:46

Right -finished for now - 56 items listed - has taken me hours so let's hope lots sell! Some have watchers already so that's cheered me up!

Tortoise · 30/08/2010 12:01

NappyShedSal Just had another look and was going to search by size but because you haven't filled in the item specifics it comes up as not specified. As i always refine search by size i would recommend always filling in item specifics when listing. Probably a bit of a faff to edit everything now but worth doing it on next listings. Smile Hope that helps.

ElizabethWakefield · 30/08/2010 13:05

Thanks Tort, i will try that tonight then, hopefully will get it to upload! Was starting to think i had totally wasted my time Grin

£300 for Xmas sounds good, hopefully we will make it!

Out of the items I have listed all but 2 have watchers (apart from the buy it nows) so I am quite hopeful!
