I really hate it. Every time - almost every time, anyway, and that's over 800 transactions - something is wrong.

Actually, most of the things I've sold have been fine but the buying is such a nightmare.

i haven't used it in a while, but just bought a rabbit hutch for more than I should have - but she said it had no damage, was ony a year old etc etc.

Well it came last night, lovely bloke delivered it, looked great. Then just now I opened the front, and the thing fell apart.

Looks like the door has had the wire replaced, very badly, and the corners stapled together with ordinary household staples, because the corner joins are broken.

Honestly - WHY do people lie about stuff/ I handed over the cash last night, thank feck I didn't leave feedback yet - I've just emailed them pictures of the door and asked if we can negotiate some kind of resolution.

Why did I not check it last night? Fear of confrontation, I think - plus I was distracted, plus the bloke was lovely. I just wish I had been more careful because it was such a lot of dosh

I swear I will never buy anything from ebay again.

oh great - now she has refused to refund anything, because clearly I have damaged it deliberately and there was nothing wrong with it when it was delivered

She admitted replacing the wire, and the staples are the same ones holding the corners together.

Mystifying.
I've opened a case with ebay which is a toothless tiger if you pay cash...but the negative feedback will be a joy to leave.

I feel for you. I think the lesson is to always check, of course this is easier said than done.

A few months ago I bought a pair of doodles for my DD. I only paid a £1 & collected them from the house. When I handed them to DD (age 3) she asked, but where are the numbers ? (meaning the letters) They'd been picked off & although I noticed it at the door I was too embarrassed to say anything. When I got home & check the photo again, I could see they were missing.

Are they quite local to you ? pershaps you could take it to them & ask for a refund ?

Feel for you anyway...

Thankyou...and I'm sorry to hear about your shoes! that's a bit rubbish...I wouldn't sell something that had been damaged in that way, but I guess some people will flog anything!

It's all sorted out now - I had a big argument with them by email yesterday, which wasn't fun, but after a disupte and leaving them negative feedback, they eventually agreed to refund part of the price.

I think the woman was really defensive and kept saying I was trying it on - which I wasn't - but the bloke then got home, and said to her 'come on, don't be so silly' and he was the one who resolved it.

So it's all been sorted out. I changed the feedback for them, because that was part of the deal - but somehow feel a bit strange about that! Hope she is nicer to the next person.

good for you for standing your ground

Make sure you receive your refund before withdrawing the negative feedback.
