What feedback?

I bought a suit on ebay which arrived very quickly, great, but when I opened it it was very dirty, had obviously been worn then wrapped up with no attempt to wash or iron it.

It had stains on it and creases as though someone had sat down wearing it IYSWIM.

I contacted the seller who asked for photo's which I sent. She then said she accepted responsibility and to return it for a refund.

Problem is I need the outfit for today, I really like it so I suggested to her I wash it to see if it cleaned up ok and it has laundered well so I plan to keep it.

Her response to this was that if I wash it she would not offer a refund.

What feedback should I leave positive or neutral and should I mention the condition of the suit. WWYD

She sounds like a reasonable seller to me.
We all are capable of making mistakes, it's how we handle them that counts.

She has done everything right (apart from initial sending of dirty item!)

Therefore you could go with neutral or positive.

I might not leave any at all, but if I did, I'd probably say something like 'item dirty but seller offered refund, item washed OK so kept it.' with positive or neutral.

It's hard to tell - depends how nice she was. If she was lovely and tried hard then positive - if she was a bit dismissive, neutral. Also depends what she said about YOU!

plus of course the other elements of the sale - how quickly it was sent, communication, packaging and postage costs etc.

Thank you Fliight, the seller seemed a bit defensive/aggressive, at least thats how it felt to me. When I sent a photo of one of the marks she replied she wanted to see the other marks.

She's left feedback saying fast payment easy transaction but she left that before the suit actually arrived.

The packaging was well re-cycled stuff and postage for a thin summer suit was over £4.

I also resent having to pay postage I suppose.

I just wouldn't leave any feedback.

Neutral, without a doubt. Sounds like not such a good seller after all! You need to let others know what she's been like. That's the point of feedback I suppose.
